Omnia Plast manages the entire manufacturing process with the help of a single software – Charisma ERP

We managed to eliminate all human errors and the time spent filling in forms or sheets. So, in a word, we managed to integrate everything in one software. Regarding our collaboration with TotalSoft, I can say that there were tense moments, but what is important is that we all mobilized and in the end we successfully completed all the tasks, regardless of their complexity.

Omnia Plast started its activity in 2006 as part of the Sunino Spa group from Italy, a European leader in plastics processing. Omnia Plast manufactures winter sports equipment, toys, irrigation systems and other plastic products in three local factories, reaching a turnover of 53 million euros in 2021.
 
In Romania, Omnia Plast runs several manufacturing processes, starting with the plastics injection and up to the final assembly, including a division of textiles, painting, pad printing, plastic welding, and everything that represents a related activity to the plastic injection. If at the begining the company had approximately 200 employees, after 15 years of activity the company reached 1250.
 
The situation
The company faced an accelerated development and the activity could no longer be managed with the existing solutions. Several applications were being used, one for each individual activity, and there was a need to centralize the information. The centralization of information was essential in order to be able to control the manufacturing process, and to be able to generate reports that cpuld optimize the activity.
 
The old solutions practically failed to manage the planning part of the manufacturing process and the company became dependent of certain developments made by a single person, upon request.
 


The solution
"With Charisma we wanted to implement a platform on which everyone could work directly, where we could manage our production flow, from raw material entry to delivery. Thus, it was important to track inventory and production flow by having an automated planning system. The biggest plus of Charisma ERP and, we could say the biggest challenge, was this manufacturing planning which represents the heart of the factory", Alexandru Grancea, General Manager Omnia Plast.
 
Another major goal was to track as many KPIs as possible and, based on them, to optimize existing flows. Also, tracking the recipe in one screen was essential. For exemple, the recipe for a ski boot is quite complex because it also has sizes and colors and that, in the past, meant consulting lots of screens to see what was going on.
 
In terms of acquisitions, we succeded to plan purchases according to the release of orders and, above all, to get alerts about orders that were not made on time and the last date when the situation can be improved. In retur, sales are tracked through Charisma ERP and the manufacturer can see exactly, at any time, what has been left behind, what has not been sent, what has not been shipped.
