Under HL7 Association (affiliated to HL7 International) coordination, a technical working group was established to develop a document regarding the interoperability of information systems between hospitals and clinics and laboratory outsourcing, based on HL7 standards that are relevant to the Romanian medical informatics environment.
TotalSoft, as a founding member of the association that owns an extensive experience in the medical software industry, supports the project among: Microsoft, Romanian College of Physicians, Bucharest Polytechnic University, Cluj Technical University, Timisoara Polytechnic University, InfoWorld and TeamNet.
The association plans for the future to provide support and advice to potential beneficiaries and authorities in the field for other medical interoperability cases such as interoperability between imaging centers and hospitals or interoperability based on medical records managed at national level.
